Would any body know where i should go to get a new seal put in for my front windscreen? The bloody thing has been leaking and killed a brand new Sony MP3 player which was not covered under warranty......
Should a Rover windscreen be the same as any other roundie?
I would see if Steve @ Brickworx could do it but he is away in Sydney until later in the week, and i know he is a very busy man. Plus a new stereo is booked in to be installed on Saturday before the minis at the mill.
We have sealed the leak with silicone but i want to be definately sure that it is completely fixed before putting in a new stereo!
Do you think any windscreen place (Windscreens Obrien etc.) be able to replace the rubbers?

Any ideas would be much appreciated . Cheers.

Im in Adelaide BTW.

windscreen seals are buggers to get on takes two people and quite alot of time- this could be my inexperience, though

i had my windscreen seal replaced by 'windscreens obrien' pretty cheap, quick and come to you!
:P
it works a treat now and my dash is no longer water logged.

any mini shop in adelaide should have the seals

i would ultimately go with windscreens obrien for the above reasons

cheers
matt

We are away until Thursday, friday morning at the latest hopefully.
Rover and Morrie front windscreen seal items are identical - same part number.

The rear windscreen seal is a different size, Rover to Morris.

I'd just get your local (Brickworx for me) Mini workshop to do it. I know that Steve can do one in about 15 minutes, and that is at a pretty chilled pace. I'm sure he could halve that if he tried. He did both of mine (front and rear) and now niether leak, so i'm happy :D

What would a place like O'Briens charge? I can't see it bieng less than $250 by time you add seal(s) and labour... WAY cheaper for steve to do it, in that 'spare' 3 seconds he has.

Yep checked with windscreens obrien and it will be about $170.
So i rang Brickworx as i am taking it in on friday to get new white mirrors and spotties wired up anyway, Steves dad helped me out and assured me Steve should be able to do it on Friday, so hopefully you can if you are reading this Steve!
Should be getting a new splitter also which is good cos at the moment it looks very faded and perished.

Thanks for the help guys.
