I had a thought about chopping the deluxe and putting on a soft top. Is it as easy as getting out the old angle grinder, slice it up in the right places, weld on a couple of plates to clean it up, weld on a roll bar, and put on the soft top? how much are they and where can you get these tops from?

Not that easy - need stiffening otherwise it will bend in the middle as soon as you open the doors! And engineers cert.
