Perspex bends too. I would go the blackboard type MDF, not sure exactly what it is but it looks more dense that regular brown MDF particle board. Line the back with cheap plastic or water proof whatever using contact adhesive. Try to "seal" it from water by folding the vinyl over the plastic lining it should be fine...

:( only problem with the lack of interior is explaining it to the cops...

I had a mitsubishi colt with NO interior. No dash, no carpet, no nothing. Just one seat, the steering wheel, the speedo and the gear stick. Was the most fun I have had in a car until I got the Mini... although when I was pulled over by the cops they were all like "OHHHH so what do we have here...."

I told them it was my mothers car and she only usually takes it to the shops and back.

Gareth_1330's Mini has SFA interior too. Must be like riding in an oil drum...

I wonder what charge the ossifers would bring..

,edit> Best stuff to keep water out of wood (including MDF) is 2 coats of fibreglass resin. 8)

Some cheapo plastic you can glue stuff to. Is white polycarbonate any cheaper than perspex? At least it won't shrink if it gets damp...
