if he took the time to strip it down and sell it as bits he would get 2.5k.
the twin 1.5su would be worth $500-$600 alone
roller rockers probably the same again.
so the motor is $1500 and you get a set of LCB's too.
Sorry i would be looking for that sort of money for it too.

Cheers

Aaron

Buy clapped out 1100S for $900, sell the shell for a couple of hundred send motor to engine reconditioner and get back 1380 for $2000. BETTER DEAL then buy twin carbs and still come out under $2500

i agree with steve as well, but if i was selling i think that 2.5k for it is a reasonable price. of course the market will decide it's fate.

Cheers

I agree but make it 1360 (73.0mm) not 1380- then you still have 1 bore job left when it is `clapped out' 8)

And just how many "clapped out" 1100Ss sit around waiting for their engines to be pilfered!? :)

Alternative is keep yer eyes open, like I do... a block from here, a crank from there, a set of rods, cam... pretty soon you'll have a cheap 1275 motor suitable for reconditioning and improvement.

en40b's are fetching big dollars.

i have bought and sold probably a dozen cooper s engines and only charged $2500 for the ones in really good nick.
complete with all ancilliaries

Sounds dear to me!
