Yer, but it might also have been packed at 4.55pm, friday arvo, beer in left hand, Sticky tape in the other.

These kinda slack-ass things happen. "Nah, that'll do. The guys in Sydney. Out of my hands by then. Just blame the frieght company"

I dunno, but i'm just saying that crap happens, and sometimes you're on the recieving end of it.

Give em two chioces.

1) Re-supply at their own cost with proper packaging or,
2) Get named on a australia wide forum that has about 3-400 regular users all with mini's in various stages of life who have between them mucho $$$ to spend elsewhere.

Remember it is not defamation if it is true.

Thats disgraceful - I use the mob who you are dealing with - I dont think I will be using them anymore. They charge like wounded bulls for freight and this is what you get. Dont go the freight company - I think you will find the Office of Fair Trading will tell you to go the company who sell you the goods who in turn should go the freight company.

Bottom line is you have a right to return the goods for a full refund - irrespective of whether the tell you you can or not. It is the most basic consumer right - if it is damaged and not by you and because of poor packing, the selling company is obliged to replace it or refund you in full. There is no grey area!!! Hound their arse until you get what you ask for, whether it be a refund or replacement. If not I am sure ACA will be interested in them - media like scum...

yeah the couriers should do their f**king job properly ffs

you dont see anyone else getting away with this kinda shi*house work

by the looks of things the couriers DID do their jobs properly...it was incorrectly packaged BY THE SELLER, and didnt have any indication as to the fragility of the contents...if it says fragile and has clearly been through the wringer then blame the courier...but it didnt say fragile...and was shoddily packaged...i'd say the fault here rests soley on the shoulders of the person(s) you bought it from...

went for a looooong walk last night, had 'some' sleep and it's a new day.....sadly I am STILL peeved about this!!!!

After pondering what has taken place, IMHO the responsibility solely lies with the seller and packager of the goods.

They chose the courier, they paid the courier, they packaged the goods. They should refund or replace, and then take it up themselves with the courier. Isn't that how MOST businesses work? Well the good ones do......

Why should I have this sh!tfight, when all I did was hand over my hard earned cash..... :(

Very very poor service IMO. They SHOULD refund or replace as a far as I'm aware. I'd also love to know who the supplier is so that I can stay well away from them. No-one will doubt that these things happen but its about how it's handled when in DOES happen that will make or break the supplier. In this case first impressions aren't good. Any half decent company with a good rep would have bent over backwards to help you .... I mean WTF do they think? You received the goods and just for the fun of it decided to drive your mini over them then ring them up and hassle them ..... becuase you're bored? FFS!!

I'd love to know - even if you PM me who they are. I'm at the start of my own restoration and will keep well clear of them if you tell me.

Feel for ya and would love to know how it pans out.

Cheers,
BC.

That subject line is a bit miss leading. I was really looking forward to pics of you being angry....
But seriously if something isn't done the ausmini gods have got to allow the naming of names. What is the point of this place and the sharing of knowledge if the most important information gets censored?

I won't name them publicly, because they WILL resolve this issue. If they do resolve this (and quickly I hope) then there won't be any more said.

If they don't....well that's another story :x

My sympathies. We have no end of trouble with couriers and freight companies at work. I try to use Australia Post wherever possible for deliveries within Aust. now, though this isn't always possible I realise. The cam I recently sent to GRE for regrinding cost $9.00 with AP, the couriers wanted $25 and a heap of paperwork to go with it.

I agree that the seller should have packaged the stuff more adequately in the first place and that he is ultimately responsible for recompensing you.

I also agree, as many of you know, that rogue (read overpriced and unprofessional) Mini suppliers need exposing so the rest of us don't make the mistake of supporting them.
