Paint supplies are fantastic, and if they dont have what you want they will mix it for you. Good prices too, I have used them three or four times! :D

hmmm, paint supplies are ok, but i gotta agree with mad-mk1. Oh and dont ever EVER go to C.A.R.E for ANYTHING, biggest rip-offs ever.

On the other hand i work for holdens, i could steal u some devil yellow but i might get an early retirement package if caught  .

also nigel, do you want 2-pack or acrylic? Coz that will definately have a bearing on how much u spend. Acrylic is cheaper, and needs to be wet-rubbed and buffed to get a nice finish. 2-pack on the other hand is much nicer to work with, but you will need to hire a booth as it is illegal to spray 2-pack without one due to the iso-cyanates in the clear coat. There is an iso free clear coat avaliable but its crap.

When I was looking for paint the best help and price was from the body shop paint supplies on port road. They sell debeer paints. Not sure how good the brand is but they were using in their crash repair place on bmw's mercs etc and looked the goods.

If u go acrylic nigel be ready for some wet rubbing and buffing, its probbably the longest part of the whole process. Make sure you use sandpaper no rougher than 1200 grade, plenty of water, and add a little bit of washing detergent to your water. The detergent helps the sandpaper glide over the paint and stops the sandpaper grinding into your top coat, creating swirl marks.

When it comes to buffing, DONT use a drill with a backplate attatchment on it, spend the extra money and buy a decent buffer/sander from somewhere like Glenfords, or even BOC gas and gear, just tell em what its for and they should point you in the right direction. Paint Supplies should have the cutting compund you need to buff with. Also another tip when it comes to buffing, steer away from all things lambswool for a pad, i used a foam waffle pad for my paintjob and it turned out excellent. The lambswool pads will clog up with your compound and burnish your top coat.

Over and above all, good luck, and have fun.
