i reckon ur GT is giving u some extra pre-menstrual issues Jammy. - although willy was perhaps a touch.. naive to expect that every branding of Alpine Green ever produced looks the same.

I mean heck, it could be off a Sunbeam Alpine!

Besides will, the colour will change within weeks anyway so.. meh!

willy

Deluxe and mini K motors are origially metalic beige. Just to add fuel to the fire. I realize you are going to cooperize the deluxe.

eeek they werent as Gold as that.

I think there is way too much confusion about this - If you really think about it - why would BMC have a metallic beige for one car and then metallic beige with a touch of green??

I think this confusion has been born out of people having millions of different colours on restoration vehicles, all an attempt to recreate the original colour. I believe it is metallic beigey/green on all models, and early Clubman GTs.

Maybe i'll just leave it as corroded aluminium/flaked yellow colour.
Then I wont have to worry about anything

Colours denote capasity in Aus it seemed for a while

Austin green is almost kaki 850-cooper- clubman UK

Same colour kaki for small block and non A-series 1100- Riley kestral 1100 and Vanden Plas 1100 MKI austin healey bug eye sprite, MKSprites and MG's, Wolseley 1500s, Austin kimberley/Tasmans, Austin 1500's and Riley 1.5's, A30s, freeways A90's A105's

850cc-------Morris 850, Morris Majors green is more BRG

1000-1100cc------Morris Deluxe, K and Morris 1100 metalic beige (factory name and colour)

All 1275cc------Morris cooper, Austin 1800 and MKIII MG midgets light metalic green or (white knight Alpine spray pack)

B-series and other------MGs Maroon

And most cars for the factory from 1970 with exception of the cooper went black minis 1800s and others one would assume to hide the oil leaks

Aaron's comment was very flattering but I cannottake credit for the paint colour. It was Doogie that put me onto the paint.

I think that each of us have a knowledgable area of expertise but its only when the Ausmini group comments that we get a full coverage on a particular subject. I have learnt heaps since joining here.

Okay called a few places and White Knight is ONLY stocked by Bunnings. It seems that Bunnings own the White Knight range.
Anyway i'll pick a can up tomorrow - they said its only available in hammertone finish; correct?

Gee - I get mine from Mitre 10 here in Mudgee but who knows what arrangements they have in other areas.

Yes it is a hammer tone.
