Will the GOR is at its best between Apollo Bay and Lorne, or.. Lorne and Apollo Bay depending on which way ur coming. The rest is.. well.. scenic but not entirely inspiring. Good fun tho, as can be seen in the shots just two stocko minis but we pedalled hard and had a great time. Watch mr plod though, there are plenty of run offs where they hide a pursuiter SS and i always see at least one cop on a bike.

This was about three years ago now.
The only part i remember was Lakes Entrance.
Bloody nice place that was.
And stopping ocassionally in the small towns on the way.
Yeah it'd be damn nice to live on the beach.

Umm.. Lakes Entrance isnt on the GOR..

Lakes entrance is quite far east maybe 3hrs+ of melbourne, GOR is just over an hr south west of melbourne.

The real GOR rd goes from warrnambool in the west (thats near portland for all you south australians playing at home) and goes along the coast to Torquay, thats where Rip Curl lives and Bells beach is. It includes all those landmarks like london bridge, the blowhole, shipwrecks, and.. the 12 apostles which are now down to about eight or something i think
