well here are the photos of my beloved mini or whats left of it anyway.

have started to strip it out of any usefully parts and when time permits i plan to remove front sub frame with engine and also remove rear sub frame as well.iol cooler is stuffed.
accident was pritty nasty spinning us in a 360.
i dont recamend getting hit by a subaru foresta at 60....
it did minor damage to engine...like it cracked the end off water pump...cracked alternator in 1/2..theres a crack in the clutch cover...bits and pieces are bent ...front sub fram has a crack in it...and its bent too.
passanger door is bent but drivers door is ok from what i can tell. rear of car seemed to get away un hurt..plan to buy something new ....thinking of the new suzki swift...just to be different then work on finding a good mini shell to transplant oll my stuff onto.
we were told my finacee and i were exstreamly lucky we were wearing racing harnescess as if we wernt it would have worse off for us.

That's depressing to see such a nice mini end up like that, however I'm glad nobody was seriously hurt.

Argh I hate seeing minis smashed up. It's like seeing a dead kid in terms of cars :(.

Always brings a lil tear to my eye...

So what sort of damage is from the windscreen back?
Just wondering about the possibility of a new front?

very lucky indeed.
I had the same thing done to my first mini a few years back. Closest I have ever come to beating an old man to death....

Just think of the fun you will have building your new mini.

Good that you are all healthy

That's a serious shunt, lucky for that updated safety gear. It looked like a nice car too, at least you have plenty of parts left to transplant.
People say old cars are unsafe because they don't have crumple zones, I suppose your safe if you hit a car that has one.

Nar Kev, it looks pretty nasty behind the wheels, too. And if it has bent and broken the frame, the front floors cant be too flash, either.

So sorry to see, dude.

Glad those "illegal" seatbelts were there, eh? Who knows, you could be attending your very own funeral. Not cool. Sure brings things into a quick reality check, especially the fact you have other peoples' life within your hands when they are in the car with you.

Again, my condolences for the loss of your Mini, and a 'get well soon' to your fiancee.
