They don't write off cars over 15 years old unless it is fully rooted, well thats what they told us.

Yup was a good effort on the old guys part, if you are going to do something, do it right.

Bullet mirror was never in the right spot though, you can't see crap out of it...not that you need a mirror on a mini anyway. Just cause the old boy is old, doesn't mean he doesn't have good taste...he owns a mini after all.

pfft I wear thongs all the time but I wasn't going to put some on just to wonder around in the garage....was wearing some stubbies and a singlet and had my arse crack showing and my balls hanging out the bottom...do I get points for that? No beer though, wouldn't have been able to hold the camera.

Yup we know who Sunshine Coast Automotives are, top blokes.

Hopefully should be getting fixed soon when we get some quotes...is more then $2500 though.

Cheers
Todd

Oh and thanks to Aussie for putting up the pics.

Just to let you all know, the little mini has made its trip to Bli-Bli to get fixed up...won't be sleeping around any more.

Got in touch with an old guy who works on old cars, has done plenty of minis before and he is going to fix it up, does a damn good old school job. Was $2700 for paint and panel, including the new parts eg. mirror, guard etc he will also touch up some rust and paint in other areas as well. The mirror will also go in the correct spot since dad cocked it up last time and you couldn't see crap out of it...not that you need a mirror in a mini anyway.

Oh and insurance is paying for it all :) is good to be old sometimes, I bet if it happened to a young person they would have taken you for a ride.

Will post pics up when it is all finished and back at home.

Cheers
Todd
