Mars is a daily driver... needed a second car 'cos the misses needs the spaceship to take the kids to and from school and kinder. Depending on what school I'm at daily total trip time can range from 25-60mins. And it's MINE :D misses won't drive it 'cos she can't drive a manual :D :D :D :D :D

I drive my beat every day, I do believe I spend at least 2 hours a day in the thing driving to and from uni and around town. I reckon it's great but you really do notice the difference when you jump into a newer car in terms of comfort and noise. But nothing I have driven so far compares to the handling and sheer fun that my mini can provide.

One of the major downers of only having one car is that when i fix something, I have to do it in one "big go" as I have no other means of transport. Which is why I am looking forward to when I finish uni, get a job and buy another car so I can spend more time on my mini...

Cheers

I am going to put it on the side of the road with a sign.....$2000 8) Very fair price for a 95 Lancer wagon.

Don't laugh....but I think I might buy a small fan to stick on the dash in JAM....on a hot day it's very uncomfortable in JAM.

bah fk the fan, just get a sunshine and use the sunroof!!

I have ALWAYS had a mini as a daily driver (bar 6 months with a pintara....ugh) and i love it and HATE driving ANY thing else... my trips these days are from stanmore to
parramatta in peak hour or not, either way, so long as the cooling system is up to
it it is low cheap driving and its awesome and enjoyable

the last month I've worked from home every day, but before then I had an 80k round trip most days in the cooper, 5 k's on the freeway, 15 k's through Albury and 20 k's of country 100kph road, a bit of dirt to finish it off, then back again in the evening...

I discovered a back way through Albury that cuts out the traffic along the hume as it snakes through Albury - jeez I hate it when there are more than 6 cars at the traffic lights! bloody chaos!

I drive my mini almost every day - out the front gate and I am on a 100 km sealed road. Drive it a bit slower until it warms up and then the sixteen clicks until town. Check the mailbox for ebay pressies, get a newspaper and then back home.

Home is a bit quicker but the motor still only has low kms on it.

Then if we need to go to town (or anywhere) we take the commodore or the HQ tonner.
Not as much fun but you cant beat the air conditionerand power steer and be able to hear Mozart on the stereo.
