It is POURING rain right now...and I am about to drive home in JAM.

He has never even been washed, let alone driven in this kind of rain!!!!

Here goes some serious leak testing!

If I didn't have my GT to fuss over and seek perfection with, JAM would NOT be out in this kind of weather!!!

I wonder where the first leak will be? Odds on it will be the tail lights. The rubber seals on those are not the best.... :?

What is it with mini car clubbers and rain. It hasn't rained here since the MCCNSW was here a week or so back.

And its not even close to raining here. I am inside coz the afternoon sun is hot and beaming into the garage while i was working. The sweat is pouring down over my glasses and I blindly kicked over a full stubbie.

It was my first beer today too !!!!!!!

It doesn't rain in Gulgong, so you can run a lucas dizzy.
The rest of us have to dodge the rain or run a Nissan dizzy!

Guess what Kev B

The PV clubbie shell wnet to the crushers yesterday (before any one hollers it was beyond redemption) along with Jeff henningham's creative datsun 1600 monument.

The two XM utes and the good PV shell go to Goolma tomorrow

Then Brendan has to slash a speedway oval track in the paddock behind the house so he can learn speedway in the Mazda 929. Sold that twice, got paid for it twice and noone ever came back to pick it up so its now Brendan's

Anton if it leaks around the windows heres a handy website on fitting seals

http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/brigidi ... reens.html

and a link for where to check for rust
http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/brigidine/JAM/rust.html

and some "crazed" Mini person also has said about using old computer mouse mats to make new gaskets for around tail lights.

Cheers

Anton if it really leaked bad this could be helpfull
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Clearwater-Silic ... dZViewItem

if JAM only leaked a little bit, it has well and truly been restored to original condition cause didnt they leak straight from the factory.

but all jokes aside i hope JAM went well and it should after all the time, effort, research and grief that you put in to it. :)

Cheers

 @ Gadget!

Well...bad news is that it leaks! Water coming in from under dash. Has got to be front screen seal....I can't see anywhere else water could be coming in when the car is stationery!

I went to put some sealer under the seal tonight (none in there at present) and the nozzle on the tube snapped :(

Back to the hardware tomorrow.

Anton get someone to put the hose on the suspected area's that way you will be able to tell where the water is coming in and then seal the area accordingly :)..

Front seal out.
Window out.
Bead of silastic inside the seal (neatly - body side).
Re-install seal and window.

No more leakies :)
