Hey everyone!
I have just gotten myself a 1968 Morris Mini Van converted to a Station wagon and was wondering where I could find the cheapest parts for it?

You add side windows, and stick a back seat in it... 8)

Some Pics of the traveller version of the van here

http://raq662.uk2net.com/minis/RML626F.htm

These were a factory version available in the UK. The rear seat folds forward to create the cargo bay like the station wagons we are used to here in Oz ['olden etc]

I believe some vans were `converted' here too.

Yeah the conversion was done ages ago and I've stripped it down to a shell and i'm just starting to build up a list of parts i need to replace so i wondered where you would suggest to get parts from at a good price?

Let's get one thing straight! :)

There are converted vans and then there are genuine Traveller/Countryman which were designed and produced as a wagon. They are not the same thing. The rear floor and inner panels are completely different.

The factory conversions (like above) do not turn a van into a traveller...

IMHO a woody traveller is the BEST looking Mini That's why I have one in deep sleep in the back of the shed. 8)

I know there is a difference but finding a true traveller is as rare as hens teeth, so i love my "imitation" traveller and can't wait until i get it on the road. :D I'll post some pics soon from before it was stripped for ressurection

Traveller and pickup were never made or sold here.

I know where there's a proper UK pickup (ute), but he won't sell it... :?

There was actually 3 real pickups at the MINSHOW. 2 inside and 1 outside in the carpark. I couldn't believe it, 3 real ones in the one place!

There was also a traveller woodie ;)

Yeah, vans are almost as cool.

I was going to fit a back seat to my van but I was resisting it as roundnose vans without side windows are pretty rare.

Fortunately for me I found the Traveller first! It was sitting in a paddock in Strathmerton, Northern Victoria. It was FREE if I took it away! :D

(No, I didn't steal it!)
