I don't think that the awards or trophies should be ditched, people like to have something to show for their hard work for either mint condition, restoring, modifying or excessively modifying thier cars.
Entrants should be able to vote, as long as it's not their own car, and only vote once.
I know that if/when I put a mini in a car show, I'd like feedback of what people thought of it, even if I didn't pick up an award.

Congrats to the organiser(s) of this years excellent show, but why only every two years?

It is such a lot of work and takes so much time to organise that the Club felt it was best to only run it every 2 years. We hold an outdoor show every other year.

I didn't know about the outdoor one. Unless its incorporated into a cruise or something.
Is it still in Melbourne?

Last few years it has been as Poeee says called "Minis At Mt. Cooper". Which is at a park on Plenty Road Bundoora. Not far from Northern Mini Parts.

It is a concours which means that there are classes for cars which are as close as possible to original and also classes which are for modified cars.

Jan,
I was wondering how long the MINISHOW has been around for? Who started the whole thing "x" number of years ago?

MINISHOW was first held in 2000. Idea was mine. Henry Draper, then owner of Northern Mini Parts funded the first event and he helped me organise and run MINISHOW 2000.

Thanks for that. and might i say i saw your mutant on display at the MINISHOW this year and thought it looked great but just little bit of critisism i think your old mags looked better. Your new ones look a bit too commercial and don't quite suit the car.
Oh yeah is it a daily driver or just a show car? because personally, i don't think i could help just having it on show... I'd have to drive all the time lol
