Hi my clubman needs a few panels replaced to do it up. I need L and R guards, both sills, LH A panel, probably both floor pans, door skins dont look crap hot either, not sure of anything else at moment. Do you guys recon its woth replacing these or trying to find another clubman?. Panels arn't as cheep as I thought so maybe worth considering. Any one got a good clubman shell in WA?   :?:

Sounds a lot of work, got to be a better shell out there to save you all this work.

BTW, I've been told Clubby front guards are now NLA so grab 'em while you can.

Yeah a good friend of mine deals in NOS for antique cars. he told me a story about a Morris Minor place in Brookvale? that had a heap of old Morrie POS crappers rusting quietly out the back paddock.
This dude was visiting from UK, promptly bought them & arranged to ship them back!!

re what I said about the Clubby guards, I think it's the genuines that are NLA. I was told this arvo that aftermarket can still be got.

When i rang a wholesaler in Perth they said new genuine guards were $259 each!! That starts to make panel replacing expensive. I also asked about door new door skins and got told no longer available? but i am sure i saw some in a mini mag.
I know that people in UK would say its good but they have access to parts really easily and no freight costs to boot.

The place in the UK where you can get a brand new classic Mini shells started up producing the Clubmans earlier this year. So, the answer is Yes, you can get "new" panels.

Don't get too excited about these new Clubman shells. They will have concealed hinges and UK type wind up window doors and the larger rear window. The OZ floor pan is different too.
Some mods to the A panel area and the rear window would be required to make them into OZ type Clubman shells.
But this probably means that some of the front panels may be availabe separately such as guards, aprons, inner guards etc.
