Hi Mike,

Get onto this site (if you haven't already) and have a chat with Todd. Really nice guy. Sells the most incredible valve guide seals (DrMini would vouch for that). I've used a set from waaay back when they were cheap. Anyone want to get together and bring in 20/30 sets. Should get a better price and share the freight costs. Dr Mini ? Miniman ? I'll do all the leg work if enough people throw threir hat in the ring.

I just ordered another set from Todd. 8)
They are US$20 for 8, including post.
I only use `em on the inlets as I have bronze guides.

These things are GOOD. My motor had 10,000 miles on head since rebuild when I took it off the blown 1310, the seals were so good I left them in situ.
They don't go hard like the 1275 Mini & Metro ones both do.

Told ya Dr Mini would vouch for them. They are a nice green and made out of viton. They have a spring at the top that allows a MEASURED amount of oil past to ensure the stem is lubricated but not awash in the stuff. Sure they are not cheap but same as Kev, I only use mine on the inlets and once they are in they are there forever. Those that don't have the groove in the guide can make sure they stay in situ with some green Loctite. Yeah, I know ther's more than one green Loctite but I can't remember at the moment. If its that important I'll find out or it may even be on Todd's site which is worth a visit. Lotsa tips there that apply to Minis.

Todd's auto transmission page is GOLD!
A couple of years back Todd got an Austin America with the auto and he was going to convert it to manual because he didn't know anything about the autos, I told him that they are simple to fix and that the forward clutch was his problem..... So he fixed the auto and created the greatest web-page about the auto! The man is a genius.

See that site also if you are converting an auto block to manual, I documented mine on there, with pics..
So, anybody got any `1275 auto block' doorstops they don't need..??
Send em to me not the tip!
