Just got back from vicroads and my mini850 is now victorian registered.. YAAAY!

Had a bit of trouble with the body number but then I spotted she'd only taken down the longer half of it and hadn't seen the 1275 on the other side of the firewall! My number was coming up under three other vehicles (trailers) registered interstate. Does that mean my car is the only one of it's year/kind from Britain in Australia?

Now to somehow contact my dad overseas and hand the moke plates in so I can sell it...

Did you get the front wing repaired that the old lady backed into?

My experience with my Minis is that there is no better feeling than knowing you are able to drive for another year. Still, it doesnt matter how prepared I am and how careful I am with things, the nervousness I have to go through and the worry that someone somewhere will tell me that my poor boys cannot drive around is terrible. I have never had to go through the whole blue slipping process but would imagine it to be akin to being an expectant father waiting for the child to let go of the liquid womb to join all in the outside world.

Being able to stick that sticker on the windscreen to tell all that it is legal to drive around can only be beaten in my mind by a few things...

Congratulations on having your baby on the road. May you have many faultless years ahead of you... :D

Great news about the rego, pity about the timing though! Every year you will have to pay the rego after you have spent all your money at Christmas!

Body work/electrical at Agrade, mechanical work was split between R&J Maurer in heidelberg west and Link.
