Hiya everybody and compliments of the season to one and all.

Mrs Rodney gave me a set of 100 watt driving lights for Ribena - care of the fat fella in the red suit. WHOA......are they ever bright!!!!!

Think I've wired them up a bit wrong though. They only come on if the head lights are on high beam - correct. Dip the head lights and the driving lights stay on - WRONG - they should go off!!!!!

Is the power supply to high beams blue with a red trace or blue with a white trace????

I've got them running through a seperate switch of course and with a relay. Dont want to flatten the battery every time I turn them on :(

do you have them on a secondary switch to isolate them ???
next when you turn the lights on lowbeam everything is ok yeah ??
but when you put on high beam then try to go back to low beam they dont shut off ??? is this correct

Thanks guys for your help.

Pretty sure I used the blue/white wire but I will check. Here's a Thought.........they would come on with the dipped head lights if I had connected them wrong I do believe.......

yep makka, they're working exactly as you say. I have them on a secondary switch to isolate - plus running thru. a relay.

Cheers Makka. Dylan is driving Ribena to work at the moment as I am on hols, so I have not had the opportunity to check things out. I'll find another "earth" and see if that makes a difference to how they operate.

Thanks again.
