I have had my road going 1380 up to 175kph (106mph) and then i have run out of road, but its not the same and there is no proof.Beside KC was driving it and we ran out of road before he buttoned off, i must admit i was looking for something to hold onto as im not used to being a passenger in my own car when i know what its like above 140kph (handling issue need to be rectified at next oil change).

how long was it towed behind a V8 to get that speed.

No V8s available, but those big 6-cylinder Healeys can push a fair bit of air aside

Mini was first to use 10-inch wheels on a car capable of over 110 km/h. In the 1965 Bathurst race, the third placed Cooper S was timed at 195 km/h on Conrod Straight.

From Bob Holden's story in Mini Experience, they were slipstreaming 2 Minis close together down the hill, for a 10MPH speed increase.

So, what's got the worst aerodynamics then.. roundnose or Clubby???
We need to find out.....
I use to drive a 1275 Californian (Gee I wish I still had that car) with dbl brl 45 webber and tuned pipes and it would only do 140 +/- 2 kph. And even then the roof had to be off and the passenger had to place their feet on the windscreen to stop it snapping off.
I think there you would have the worst case scenario for aerodynamics

Mini's and aerodynamics ? Forget it!!! 190 Kmph in a 998, timed runs, both directions - forget it!!! 120Mph at Bathurst? - possible but somewhere in the region of 9000RPM flat out in a good J car!!!

I notice he puts a little s/c infront of the 998 but i still dont think so.
unless its a serious down hill and his speedo is right out.which ill bet it is.
If its true please give us the way to do it oh great one, cos you have done something that no one else in the world has ever done.

A mini sprint is not a factory produced mini shell. nor is a dejoux, gem, marcos, ogle, GTmcox and the million other types of minis or a broadspeed or a 2+2 so its got to be a mini prduction shell.
