Anyone seen the Rover mini on carsales.com for $12500.00.
'94 model with fairly low milage. I know this is now a third option for me (after 850, clubman S) butmuch more appealing to my better half as it is somewhat more appointed on the inside and has aircon.
It looks a million $, does anyone drive one. What are they like.

There's been a fair bit posted on this topic recently, do a search for "Rover" and you will find a fair bit. :)

http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... ight=rover

I drive one, its been used as a daily driver in Sydney peak hour traffic for the past week (where are you, your "location" is blank  ), the air con is great and the car does not over heat. From what I've been told by a Cooper owner, it feels tighter in the body with less squeaks than the older models.

Is this the car you've seen?

http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales ... istance=25

It is a nice car, looks hot with those wheels. I drive a Mini Mayfair '93 model but it's an auto, but still drives very well and is a great little car.

Good luck.

That look like quite a neat car, i would question the fact that it has a 5 speed box in it though, but apart from that looks good. seems like quite a resonable price as well.

I drive a 93 mayfair in that colour and i love it.

Who wants a normal car? They aren't fun little cars with character.

We have a Bini and it's no fun, the little Rover is cool, people look and ask questions, it breaks down and has all the Mini problems. Love it.

Matt,

Please do not buy this mini

http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?vehicle_id=2777850&current_rec=1&used_rec=0&total_rec=1&sort_type=&total_rec=1&sort_type=&make_id=526&model_id=4158&state_id=-1&search_distance=25

I am organising finance for it and REALLY REALLY want it ... im even selling the two shells I own and flying to QLD next week to buy it.

Please leave it for me :) I want it soooooo bad!

Lucas

Go for it Lucas, it's a bloody nice looking car but make sure everything is OK with it. It is a lot of money to pay for a Mini. I paid the same for mine Rover and was really hoping everything was mechanically sound when I got it back from Sydney and could , look over it properly. I was lucky, it passed a RW and was registered and touch wood, has only had a few very minor problems.

Good luck.

In regards to Spaceboy, Bini's are hyped up, they are for people who owned a Mini in the 60's and have now retired and normally own BMW's. It's just like driving a new car. Very very nice, but very expensive to buy. We have the Cooper S, but there are no rattles, no starting problems, it's very quite and doesn't smell like ptrol or fumes. So where's the fun?? :? But I do like cruisin' in it.

Leigh

Lucas, whats the deal with that car? It is advertised with 5 speed and with both a 1.0 and 1.3 litre engine??

Sunnybank is a 15 minute drive for me. If you want me to check anything out for you before you fly up here I can.
