Just wondering if the seal that attaches to the body of the car (NOT the boot itself) is available for purchase here in Aus.
The one that attaches to the boot is a right bastard... i had mine on there with dabs of loctite on each of the little clips and closing it proved extremely difficult... would get nearly closed but the last couple of inches it would not go to close.

So yeah the seal that attaches to the lip around the boot. I have seen many a UK minis with this type of seal fitted.

Thanks.

The later UK Minis did have the seal on the body. I'm not sure if it fits early or Oz cars.
Find out before you buy. I once brought some UK MK1 door seals in, and they were narrower than Oz ones! :x

Re the normal sponge seal on boot- I chucked the clips and used Selleys Kwikgrip contact adhesive instead. It's still on there sealing, 9 years later..

Hey Will, I like the look of the Pommie boot seal, and thought about one myself, but I think the lip it fastens to is different in shape, to allow for fitment of the seal.

Have you seen a Pommie Mini in the flesh? The rear window is bigger, so the whole ass end panel is different in shape. It's subtle, but it's different. I went for a spin in mrcooms '93 mayfair last Friday night. Nice ride!!!!

I glued my boot seal down again with a glue from work which is phenomonal. I'd be happy enough to pass on a name or part number, but the only thing that identifies it is a skull and crossbones on the label
