I know the event sort of clashes with the NRMA Motorfest in Sydney, but is anyone going to Bathurst for the Australian Factory Performance Car Nationals, on the weekend of 27-29 January?
The event is obviously aimed mainly at the V8 Holdens, Fords and Chryslers, but also Torana, Charger and the P76 and, yes the Cooper, Cooper S and Clubman GT.
Only thing is that I heard from the organisers the other day and they said they have not one Mini registered for the event, despite being in contact with the NSW Mini Car Club regarding the event, and us advertising it in The Mini Experience. Is there really no interest in this type of event from the Mini people, or is it too expensive? I'd like to know your thoughts.
I will be going anyway - although the van doesn't quite meet the requirements as a performance car - because we do calendars for Ford and Holden as well.
