What does everyone tow their mini around on?

I'm looking to get a trailer and was wandering what the options are. Most car trailers I've seen are a bit of overkill for a mini, so I'd like something small and lightweight which might also double as a general purpose trailer.

Anyone know what the average trailer weighs? I need a new car to tow it and don't really want to get anything massive.

Cheers

I haven't got a trailer , normally borrow a mates normal car trailer that has very low sides when I need to get a dead mini . If you are going to get something to double as a general use get it with removable sides or low sides , otherwise you can't open the doors to get in and out on the trailer . otherwise you have to use the windows to climb in/out if it's a windup window one or find a very thin kid to steer it onto the trailer who can fit out the window if it's sliding windows .....

Hey Jon, If you're a regular on that other board, do you mind asking that guy for a copy of his drawings (pdf format if possible) for that trailer??

It looks awesome!!

I tow my mini's everywhere, Hay for the mini nationals, Brisbane,Melbourne,Adelaide for the Oz motorkhana championships, & every where in between. Here's a few pics of my trailer.

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

My dad makes a single axle, non braked mini trailer. He's made a few now and they are the ants pants. I tow it with my late model six cylinder no worries.
will set you back about $1800.

Located in Brisbane.

Could'nt be it was a hand built one off, then extensivelly lightweighted by me & my dad when i bought it. She's a one of a kind.

It's very very similar believe me, only differences from what I can see in the pic is, our friends one has a guard round the front to stop the car. And uses lil mini rims. But apart from that very very very similar in design.

Mini rims & tyres & car trailers don't mix, my father-in-law has dual mini wheels on his trailer, and blows tyres all the time, i've got 15" commodore wheels on mine, my threoy is you can find a commodore rim anywhere in the country.
