Cam,
What sort of welder are you going be using? I dont mean a soldering iron either.
If you have painted and welded a few cars, then your Mini K is not a good advertisement for you.
I'm rubbing back my car at the moment, and filled a couple of dents with filler, my partner worked at a panel shop before he moved up here and has told me that I have sanded the dents perfectly, and im only inexperienced, so what does that say about your work

Lynda, I'm here gathering info from people who have done this before, and people who know what there on about, so please, unless you have done this operation, take your comments elsewhere, or atleast have the decency to keep your constant bitching to private emails, we dont need this rubbish on a private forum.
Thanx to all that have replyed and sent PM's and emails, much apprectiated, I have been and had a closer look at the operation today, and i think i will just stay with the roundie inner-guards, and cut out the clubman ones, failing this i think the next step would be to get some 16gauge and just put a couples of faint bends in to make it hug the subframe. the inner guard is purely to keep dust etc out, as its not bolted to anything of any strength (anyone whos had a look would know it doesnt have to be engineered

)
Thanx to all that have helped
