I have a van that was my daily driver until late last year.

I cut a hatch in the floor behind the driver's seat and put the battery and tools in there. I used a slimline Ford Mondeo, Mercedes etc type battery and it fits under there really well. Now I can move the driver's seat back a couple more inches. :)

Cheers,

With the cover removed:

The side pieces are just aluminium angle riveted in place. The cover is secured with a couple of magnets. The battery tray is a universal one from Bursons. My only regret is that I didn't make the cuts neater. :(

Cheers,

61kw from a 998 now that is good.
i mean a fully worked 998 from Graham russell which hold the lap records at a lot of the tracks around OZ has 67kw and only hit peak power at 7400rpm.
so for a road car to have 61 is real good.
its actually better than most 1380's, actually its the same power as ron weavers car.
better than GR's 1400 LS
coem to think of it if it was on the dyno that day it would have won outright.
who thinks there is a discrepency between dynos here?

Im also doin ght esame with my van to make access easier to battery and in the trailer access formt he fron as i wont need a battery etc, i can keep my tool kit there without having to rip the floor up to get to it.
must just work out how to seal it.

Bruizers battery is also sunk through the load deck, better than marking the back of the seat and at 6.1" you apretiate the leg room.

the reason they do them in 4th is minis are not powerfull enough to turn the dyno over in 4th.
hey you have to papar work. good on ya.
I would love to get that figure from my 1380 on the next dyno run.
Although i did get 68BHP form my last one with every trick mod in the book under the bonnet, but i still want more.

Wow, where do I sign up for a ride in a 81hp 1100?

Or was it a Gold Coast dyno tuned to give nice ricey HP figures?

I dont know where you sign up but if you dynoed it you could be suprised as you might alreay have 81bhp under the bonnet.

By the way i never said 61bhp, before this turns into a slinging match. well done.

go and see matt read he will tell you how to get more out of your motor.
madminimat i think he is called on here, he is also on the gold coast somewhere, a really good mini mechanic and is good for good horsepower as he has a lot of big minis (1400cc and over) his father raced thema nd matt did the targo a few years back.

question for you, you siad it was a 998 then its an 1100 but is it a small bore 1100 or one of the australian 1100 that is actually a 1275, which has probably been overbored.

You was asking about autoelectricians etc earlier in another thread well im giving you someone who can help with everything that you require not just for a mini motor.
