The Morris 1100 has about 220 psi of pressure vs the 300 psi of the mini, so that may explain some of the difference in ride.

The bags in the 1100 are bigger than the mini as these photos show...

that may explain things
they shrunk the bags for a smaller car,
but because pressure is force upon area, the area has reduced so the pressure has increased!
