Does your Mini have a cigarette lighter?

If so where? I currently don't have one and am getting frustrated when my mobile runs flat... Which would be an issue if I ran out of fuel  .

I'm currently thinking of getting one of those double cigarette lighters and putting it under the rear seats powered direct to the battery via a relay to the accessories.

Interested to see what everyone else has done.

My 68 Mini matic came with one from new. In the assessories brochure, that was ticked along with the AM radio and BMC sunvisor. Mines no longer pluged in. It's located to the left of the headlight switch under the dash.

I needed one to power Kazjim's GTech, so went and bought a marine ciggy socket from Bias Boating Warehouse. www.biasboating.com.au

It's pretty well made plastic and S/S insides. p/no 8305. $10.50

if you just want it to charge your phone would you be best off putting it in the glove compartment? easy access and you wont have cords going all over the place. depends what model you ahve, if its a clubby put it over passenger side, but if you ahve an early mini with space behind the steering wheel, put it there (easy access 8) )

I put one in the dash, due to same issues, but also to run the Navman, which gives me my speed, cause the speedo is horribly wrong in my Rover. I bought one from a store that is cheap and super, but never fitted that. Try a marine store as already recomended.
