i like the bullet mirror
it makes the car more aerodynamically friendly too
thats an extra 0.6HP on top of the 37HP the matics putting out
have never used it... except at steve n mikeys house where the little gate is little enough for the little mirror and me to stick my little head forward and reverse it out

Pretty sure on old Minis in NSW, you need at least the RH side mirror....!

You may find that you have to change the glass on the UK mirrors. I have the same late model Rover mirrors on my car and I had to have new glass made up. All the Minis that we complied at NMP had to have the glass changed as well to meet ADR's.

I use a black one, looks the same. Yes they are crap now- the Chinese have engineered all the rigidity out of them and they shake, on mine, anyhow!

One day I'll get a better one... :(

Doc wait till you see the "original" UK mde replicas of the chrome ones (you know the stuff that minispares sell made by the same firm that made the originals cant remember the name) they're as flimsy as anything you can buy at supercheap. and they shake and they dont sit flat against the door (though it might be the door not sitting flatly against them).

What is the actual issue with the UK glass?

Not sure technically how to describe it but apparently one type of glass things seem a long way away and the other things look closer. The ones from the UK are the opposite to what you require here.

At least they are usually a good mirror. We have two minis with them on and have never had any problems with them.

I just went to a glass shopand they made the new glass. Hard part is if you decide to try and take the mirror apart and insert the glass properly. It's a nightmare. Otherwise I have seen people just stick the new glass on top of the old. Getting it a perfect fit is the key to it looking good.

mmmmm mmmmm....I got them in the mail yesterday (the late 90's Cooper mirrors that is).

Absolutley brilliant!! ...and a bargain too I might ad.

They are new, but a beige colour, so I will have to give them the Milano Red treatment......

thats the first thing I checked and the mirror glass is no different to ours. The passenger side is even the same as the driver side, which I didnt think was teh case in the UK.

So....I think I am right with them the way they are
