What ever happened to the wave from other Mini drivers?

Having driven an older Land Rover for years I was used to the wave from other drivers driving the same Beastie. So I was excited by the prospect of other Mini drivers giving a friendly wave to each other or at the very least a nod of the head.

Last couple of Minis i've seen I've received no response to my enthusiatic waving.

Is it cos I'm in a Rover? :x

I give the big finger to the inferior BMW version. Does that count?

I always wave @ the little cars, and MOST times get waves back.
Probably cause of the huge grin planted on my face when I'm behind the wheel :D

It's become such a habbit, that once, to my embarrasment, I started waving at a Mini,
then realised it was parked - With no one in it!!
I've never seen another Camry driver wave to me in the family wagon though,
but several times I've found myself waving to Mini's when driving it.

I've had kids point & wave too - before the resto - maybe they were laughing!!?

My kids yell out "Mini Alert" when ever they spot one - it's a bit of a game to see who spots them first.

poeee and I were acknowleged by a Bini the other day. I saw it, and suddenly teh driver was flashing the lights and waving! It was a shock cos they normally snob us, so poeee doesn't wave at them anymore.

We freaked out two old ladies the other day when we waved at them while in the mini.

But i always see more mini's when im in the Colt, which is sad. Peopleget kinda confused when someones waving at them from a non mini.

Maybe I need a big sticker on my car that says "my car thinks its a mini!"

O and Edge, poeee and I play punch buggy, which means someone ends up with a really sore arm when we drive past the VW dealership. I wanted to play pinch mini and slap taxi as well, but poeee says I'm not allowed to because we own several mini's, and there's too many taxis in town.

I'd have an unfair disadvantage with punch, slap & pinch games as I'd always be in the front with hands on the wheel, and kids behind me!!

I don't think I'll suggest that one to them!!

I know exactly what you mena about the friendliness that could happen and often doesn't. my friend owned a series 2 landy and always we'd get the wave or someone yell out nice car but rarely do I see mini drivers doing the same.. maybe we have more competition between drivers who knows. either way there should still be drivers waving at other minis or a quick beep beep in recognition.

I wave to BINI's, if they dont wave i call them c_nts out loud and give them the finger. :)

I have only had one mini that refuses to wave, even drove past kazjim and I and didnt even acknowledge the two mini's. Ohwell.
