Seen pictures somewhere(can't get the photo's to work on the unofficial site at the moment so not sure if it's there or not) of a beach car type mini with whicker work seats , it might have fitted in with the beach theme but could imagine it being harsh on the bum when you were joliting around a cobblestone road down to the beach .....

i dont' like the idea of someone being able to walk through the back seat while you're at a pedestrian crossing.. ;)

No, but at least you could do something useful in the backseat!! You would just have to park two side-by-side :P

the ist picture is like the south african mk3 but with no doors, that would be no good in south africa as it leaves little to challenge for hi jacking the car. no windows to break gees could even hang your guns out of the side and not have to worry about the door getting scratched.

otherwise great pics.

S Africa? :!: :!: :!:
Aren't there like lions & shyte with sharp pointy teeth & claws??
I think I'd be wanting doors over there!
Maybe it gives you a better chance of jumping out and running away!?

They kinda look like a Moke / Mini cross,
which would make them a Mike, or a Moni.

yeah they comeinto to town and rip open your dustbin bags at night.
Here is a quick story, i took my girlfriend (now wife) to a lion park (same one thats on the lion man on tv) for her birthday in the mini anyway its like a miniture safari and drive around spotting game in a huge wildlife resreve. At a certain time they announce (when we wnet in) that they were feeding the lions at 1pm and if we want to look meet at the big round place, ok so we head in and come 12h45 we head off to get a good parking space to view the lions, being trhe smallest car there we got as close as we could, anyway the lions started to enter after they dragged the carcasses in and they were as big as the mini, so my mrs starts to close the windows on the mini, i mean its only 40deg outside i didnt have a problem with her closing the front windows but when she closed the back windows in a frenzied fit cos the lions were going to get in and eat us, i couldnt help laughing which of course made matters worse. i told her if the lions wanted to eat us they would open the mini like a can of beans and just eat whats in side.my motto was you gotto catch me first, the lions motto was mmmmm a small red can of beings. fiddle sticks it ill eat the meat they put out for us atleast i dont have to hunt it down.
