morning all...weve seen a few pictures of 72 minis on the net.....does anyone have one (ROUND NOSE)..from what we can work out we see there were a few hangovers that were sold in 72 from the previous year(71)..anyone have a roundy thats plated 72?

yeh i think there were some 72 mini k s produced. are you sure these are australian minis tho ? coz there were buckets of uk minis made in 72

I was under the impression that they were only built until august-september.... whenever the clubmans came out. I didn't think any would have a '72 on the plate although they may have still been sitting at the dealers in 72.

Dewey is right. Officially the last of the round nose cars was July 1971 and was a mini K. The production of the round nose S finished the month earlier. It is pretty common to find someone has put a round front on a later car, but if everything else is K then you probably have a car that is dated wrong. Check the compliance plate on the LHS bulkhead, should have the prefix YG2S1..... I used to own one of these July 71 K's that I bought as a one owner so did a bit of research into them. They have a few things unique to the year that is clubby but that is about it. PS they should have early 2 screw tail light lenses not clubby ones as many people think. Hope this helps. G
