hi guys just want to know if this is worth it.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MINI-1275-MOTOR- ... dZViewItem

and does anyone have an idea of rough cost it would take to get it running.

also will it bolt to my 998cc gearbox.

also i live in orange so i won't have to pay any frieght. that is on of the reasons i think it is cheapish

Look like a good buy, it will fit a 998 gearbox as long as its a 4 synchro box :D

There are a few bits that are not with the engine that you will need. These are bits that are specific to a big bore engine. The 1275 engine has a different shaped crankshaft and needs a bronzed bush primary gear and there are other bits. The head is misssing valve springs and collets.

However basically it seems a good buy and you wouldn't get the machining done for that price. I would however send the head straight to a machine shop and have it checked. Its a well worked head that was pulled off a car and shedded - its almost sure to be warped.

I am over in Gulgong, should you want a hand with it - pm me - I have the tools needed
