Good to see you on here tim, welcome :)

If you've got the time, stick around. I'm sure we'd all love to have a bit more insight into your car :)

Do you have any contacts in Japan for those wheels, they look awesome? I'm taking it that you sourced the centre's and got them made locally? Are you running the toyota hubs then with a 5 stud pattern?

I remember you, waving as if it was the end of the world. I was half asleep driving along. Won't be passing again until I go back to Wakefield raceway in June.
We aren't cheque book racers especially Charlie Borg who makes everything himself for his car, which has a Honda in it and I have been racing minis for 20 years.

Fair call, they just seem very high budget cars, figured you would either own your own workshop, or work very hard to pay for it and not have time to work much on the mini apart from race it, If i could afford to build one i know for sure that i wouldn't have the time to build it :) I didn't mean to have a go or anything, was just an observation. I'd love to hear how you got into racing mini's.

Not offended at all. Actually my car cost me heeps because I have broken lots of things on it during development. Got into racing when I went to a race meeting at Surfers in 1983. Went home happen to be looking in the paper for a car and saw a race mini for sale....so I bought it. First race at Surfers 1983 18yrs of age or so. Giving my age away.
Though not alot of mini left in this car now.

Forgot to mention, wheel centres were sourced from a guy here who got them in with other stuff. We just made up adaptor plates to bolt to the rims. Sorry don't have any contacts in Japan. Yes they are toyota hubs but 4 stud pattern.
I will see if I can get some pics of the car.
