still it isnt back
there was a bit or carby work to do, ordered a few bits in mechanics did,
and the fixed them
and it is moving,
and i called in today to drop off my "CAMEL" 'number' plates,
and they were having trouble with the clutch which they sorted, and then they started it up,
and it was fully crazy,
so loud and tuff, it sounded so very nice,
But they are still fiddling and maybe they are going to fix up the pulsar dizzy that Gafmo sent me, i said maybe do that or maybe not,
but htye know i need it almost urgently, and i told them on monday im leaving,
but they say maybe it can be ready tomorrow.
I do not know

But it definately runs and it was very very nice.
and i liked it

Also i got some insurance quotes and someone will insure it for 5 grand @ 880 a year,
but shannons wont give me comprehensive till im 20, in 10 months or something, and definately they will be nice to me when im in the mini club down here.

Its all reasonably fun though

Sounds good , how long till it's on the road now ? What colour plates did you end up deciding on , I think I missed the end of the number plates thread .

Too many cars, and too little time.

Ended up with green text, almost the same as the mini colour, and a white background, and i think they look real nice on it.
and well it may be on the road tomorrow,
if not monday, because i told them i was leaving on monday.
Leaving to the big city Hobart, and im planing for this to be my only car, not that ill be driving everyday though,
and ill need it monday
But ill sit at home tomorrow maybe, just waiting in hope for a call that wont ever come
But it needs to be ready tomorrow as i have people i need to go and show it to, and will not be able to for many months if its not ready tomorrow, so that will be annoying

I was right
no mini back today,
Although my mother went for a bike ride this arvo, and met the car on the road at about 2pm.
It didnt have a bonnet on though.
And it obviously just went back into the shed,
and by 630 i knew it wasnt coming back today

I have been absent for a while now, so I just read this whole thing.

Sounds like me and my Mini. The whole waiting to get it back, finding more stuff wrong etc, waiting even longer... It sucks, it does.

Well it WILL be here tomorrow i know for sure

i rang them and all they have to do is whack a few body bits and the filters and take it for a spin, and basically, thats all.

I drove to my new house (where im staying) in Hobart yesterday and came back today, and will take the mini down tomorrow,
Ill take it home and give it a polish, but then ive got the long trip again

But at the new place we do not have the internet yet, and could be a while,
so there will be no photos or videos or reports for an unknown time, a few days a few weeks? I have no idea.

Hoping all goes well on my first drive, which will be a non stop 4-5 hour drive, depending on how nice im told to be, and i will be nice

but its all good fun

something interesting might happen
