OK. . .effectively a Mini restoration question, I guess.
Does anyone know what car Mini Jem windscreens were sourced from?
Thanks,
Pete & Soaf

I've gone through all my mini and other books today and none mention where the screen was sourced from , only that the rake of it was changed in some model changes . Googling it didn't help either , have you tried the English clubs ?

Yeah, that's more of less the information that I have. . .yes, I'll try the English clubs next if nothing turns up here. I *think* the screen is from a Fiat. . .but what model, I have no idea. . .
Thanks for your help,

Pete & Soaf

Just found this page about the tayorspeed jem the aussie version of the Jem made in Adelaide it doesn't say anything about the windscreen (except perspex was available as an upgrade) but there is a email address for the author at the bottom maybe email him.

http://www.minijem.plus.com/taylorspeed/

Hope it helps
PS: They also say the moulds are still in existance Hmmm a Jem would be cool very cool I like them LOTS :D 8)

Follow the same link down to:

http://www.minijem.plus.com/

and there are some brochures that may tell you something more. Sorry I haven't read them, I should be doing stuff.

I was looking at some of the info on the Kingfisher (a Jem derivative) and it mentions that it uses the

windscreen. I don't know if this was changed from the Jem but they seem pretty similar.

Rear window of the Kingfisher was from a datsun coupe (presumably 1200 coupe ?)
