Is Smoke Grey the same colour as our Shadow Blue? They look pretty much the same to me.

Smoke grey and shadow blue aren't the same colour. The blue is a much lighter colour

Doogie

Sedans that are red with black roofs are ok as for Austin Coopers that is my fav combination and for Elfs its light grey with dark grey roofs. I should say personally I wouldn't paint a car I owned red or BRG with a white roof and white bonnet stripes why because everyone else has eg: Doogie you and Gaf have the same colour vans.

sorry to all those who I know with cars these colours your cars all look great but there is enough of them already is all I'm saying.

I saw a factory one off dark grey red/burgandy interior crap hot

I love red cars my next project is red, just not with mini lights and white stipes and roof. And I am a purist, factory red then red it should be.

That red cooper been in the family since new at the bmw day, I loved it I'd have that for sure.

My opinion not saying anyones car is bad I love them all.

i agree too, people need to start getting more adventours with painting there minis, especially if its a full respray.

Take last weekends bmw mini meet, nearly 1/2 the classic minis there where red, 1/4 green. I know my minis colour is not to some peoples taste but it will always stand out in a crowd of minis for good or bad.

If your going for a full restoration back to 100% original then yes then its time to put the 60's 70's colours on it. Anton's and chris's minis are testoment to this.

There are so many nice colours out there now, look at the latest mazda colour ranges, all would make your mini stand out from the crowd.

My opinion only but i think metallic colours really set of the curves of a mini great, combine it with some nice crome and you have a head turner not matter whats under the bonnet. Here are the 4 i have painted.

metallic white, gold pearl with clear coat 2 pak.

Image

metallic pink with clear coat acrylic.

Image

metallic yellow with clear coat 2pak.

Image

mettalic grey, solid white clear coat, acrylic
