Hi I was just woundering if anyone could tell me if there is an exhaust flange gasket on a 72 clubman or the exhaust just bolts up to the manifold. Also does the reverse lights opperate the rear indicators or is there ment to be a seperate lamp. I have purchased my first mini in pieces and having a hard time putting it back together but having a lot of fun in the process. Cheers

Yes that pic is the gasket from manifold to head. But to answer the question, NO there is no gasket between the ex pipe and manifold, on a standard Clubman.. The flared pipe is just clamped to the manifold flange. :)

Early Clubby with remote box also had a reverse lamp switch, but I'm not sure it was connected to anything... :?
The later cars like Josh's had twin filament blinker bulbs- one for blink and one for R.

Hey doc, i actually have what i believe to be a reverse switch fitted just above the sump, when u look at it from the front of the car, its on the right hand side. Do metro gearboxs have these? because mines a remote as well.

All remotes had them from around 71 on I think, they replace the hex plug in front of box, below oil filter.

Metros, like all rodchange boxes should have a switch on the shifter box, below gear lever...
