yes. some people who are legally blind, and can't actually make out any figures or anything like that can still see light/dark.

Na just means that they don't make plastic thick enough for their glasses.
Old Edna used to wear the thickest of thick spectacles, shocked us all when we used to look through her glasses and see really really big eyeballs staring back at us.
Poor old Edna.

Hah! I got it, it didn't fool me I am surprised, but then again I'm drunk so my IQ is slightly higher than usual
