I have seen this before, but don't have time at the moment to search for it :(

Basically i want to know if you can fit them to a 1976 Clubman S.

Whether anyone knows the exact model number so it is easier to just go in and say 'I want some of these thanks'

and also what/if any sort of modifications have to be done to any of the door internals.

If you could help me out I would appreciate it.

Cheers
Todd

You should be able to fit them easily, however you will have to make the lock hole in your doors bigger, as the sloex locks are bigger than the standard mini locks.

Do the search and look in minimods etc as there was a thread there about security and alarms which had some advice on much better locks than the solex ones that fitted clubbies well .

Cheers, I will have a look and see what I can find.

I thought solex were the best thing since cheese on toast, but then again I haven't kept up with things for a while.

Thanks for the advice.

Right I had a look around....I also suck at searching so couldn't find too much.

Found the solex locks don't have dust covers and can jam.

Found you can use a laser lock or something...might have been a mazda one actually.

Also read that no matter which of the above you use you have to fill in the original hole a bit.

So are there any other locks that you can get to replace clubby locks? Ones that don't need filling of the hole would be lovely.

Cheers
Todd
