Morris 1100's were quite a lot rarer than minis or at least not as many survived until now. There is a very strong prediction that they will become more valuable than minis (with the exception of Cooper - s - GT variants) in not too many years time.

If this 1100 is in reasonable condition consider keeping it rather than just pillaging the motor from it. There are a number of people here, including myself, who would give you an 1100 cc motor rather than see an 1100 scapped.

Ok... more details...

Morris 1100, with rego (tho will be cashed in), engine is 15,000miles old. Runs like a clock. Seals on output shafts are stuffed, but gunna have to change the gearbox anyways.

3 heads. 2x 12G202 and 1x 12G940!!!

A couple of gearbox casings, probably Morris 1100.

An 850 magic wand complete gearbox.

2x Morris 1100 radiators.

3 Morris 1100 doors.

1x Morris 1100 disc brake setup and another caliper.

HS4 carbie.

Various other stuff including some side valve Morris Minor stuff (manifold/carb, radiator).

well done just take out the motor and sell the body.

You know you can take the 1100 diff casing off, change the diff ratio to suit 10" wheels and put a mini diff casing be it 850 or deluxe back on not having to split the motor and box at all.

Great purchase, the sale of the body can pay for the change over diff.

Yer... if we can pic up a late Clubby diff (3.44) we'll be laughing!

See what happens though, don't need the engine just get. Gotta wait for the rest of the car to be done. So... might see how much needs doing to get RWC, and possibly put it on club rego.

Oh... and another thing... my father grew up with Morris 1100's. My grandfather had a few of them as work cars. My dad has some fond memories of the old 1100's, so maybe it's something he might like to have on the road. It's not like we need ANOTHER car around here, though!

I did that when I found an 1100S for $100, the person who arrived to look at it after me wanted the body - I just wanted the engine - I saw the car on the road soon after he took it away for $40

nice find Adeee ;)

why do people insist on giving me cars? The guy i bought all this off is refusing to take payment for it.

O and i'm going to find hot how much effort it'll take to restore it. Theres some rust, needs a respray, brakes need work, and it needs a new interior.
