I have been attracted to buying a rover mini because of the a/c but they are only 998 and I really like look or the ealier minis especially 850s but the ventilation is not that crash hot in an 850.

Not all are 998. Get a Cooper and they are 1275.

I've recently done it, i put a whole 1995 rover mini 1275 & A/C into my wifes mini, it was a &*%T of a job, lots of cutting of the dash supports holes in fire wall, cutting out the inner guard for the condensor van, all yuk jobs, good now that its done, but a bitch of a job.

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

Why try re-invent the wheel...
the rover one fits, it works.
Other varients require remaking the whole system.
Rover ones - lengthen one bracket to fit early minis.
