I used to work part time for BBC (now Bunnings) years ago, staff discount on tools was only 2.5%. Don't get your hopes up you might not even be able to buy a case with the saving.

hmmm...bugger...oh well...2.5% is better than nothing :P
wonder how much the saving on the shelving would be...paid $75 a pop for those...although given bunnings is just the middleman i am guessing it'll be pretty low...as with tools...

oh well...as you've probably gathered from the change of title i have retired my ideas of converting the mini to run the 4efte...

am currently in negotiations with andy (Archangel007) to acquire his awd civic wagon and mate the transmission and rear drivetrain to a D16A8/9 (1.6L DOHC 16v injected crx engine) that will be turboed one day...

if you are after a 4efte with fairly low k's (around 100,000km) and an aftermarket momo corse oil filter PM me and we can sort something out :)

will keep you all posted on progress...as usual...

the road to glory just got longer :P

DIY is the plan for the whole lot pretty much...going to be copying the design of the gomini.com one...if anything it'll be a learning experience :)

Firstly, goodluck with the change secondly will you have to change increase the track and extend the nose??

Did you think about finding a 4efte AWD box?? and mating it with the honda drive shaft and rear diff??

well spotted, if anyone uses 4 0r 5"grinder u must buy the 1mm thick cutting discs, less heat and quicker cut, u just cant use them as a grinding disc like u can sort of get away with on the 3mm discs

Yeah they are great, especially for cutting sheet metal,
but I have cracked a couple & have had one shatter from grinding with them
They won't stand it :( Not fun!

Yeah the 1mm discs are really amazing, on tube or thick stuff too. I also use them in preference to the noisy Makita `magic saw' (tungsten carbide metal blade) on sheet metal.
Easier to see where you are cutting. 8)
