Hopped into my mini this morning and took it for a spin as usual. When I was about to change lanes, I checked my blind spot and side mirror.. hang on.. somethings not right.. WHERE'S MY SIDE MIRROR?????? looks like someone must've been carrying a screw driver around last night and nicked off with it :x

Anyways, now i've gotto go and hunt for new mirrors on ebay. Anyone know if i can fit those funky bullet mirrors on the door?? or are they just for the body???

thanks

Yes you can put bullet mirrors on the door, vision is not great but they look cool.
Be careful what you buy, some Asian ones on eBay rust while you watch them.
Karcraft sells nice spun brass ones (chromed)- mine cost $50 a while back.

Not much fun when you get rolled. I had a front headlight and indicator knocked off once when I was at the movies. It makes you pretty angry. Watch where you park it, a big chance they will be back again.

I came out of the supermarket once (max 15 min inside) and found both the side clear indicators off my commodore gone - I saw one straight away, didn't walk around the other side of the car til the next morning.

When I went to get replacements, the service guy was like - happens all the time buddy.

yeah you can mount those mirrors off the door but as dr said the vision is crap. the price is usually around a $100 a pair. I got some from eurotech in adelaide.

Here's a tip....
park your car on a big metal plate, That has the red wire from an extension lead attached to it. and then attach the blue one to the car........ No more midnight thefts
You might have to wack the crims of with a stick in the morning, Small price really

(not an actual endorcement or recomendation. Please people take care with electricary)

(I think) I've seen those ones mounted in the triangle plate in the window frame, which raises them up to where they are actually an aid to rear vision - my blue S had one on the door, and it was poo

I had my side mirror knocked off the car but they leave it sitting next to teh car the bracket was firmly attached me thinks they wanted the whole thig but couldn't get it off so the y leave the mirror sitting on the ground near the car thank god.... but it wa a pain to bend the bracket and ataching mechcanism to the right sdpot to re-fit it. this happened a while ago now in Canberra nr. tuggerong (however you spell it)..

For all the effort and risk of breaking em it would be much easier to go to holden and buy em, its not like they are expensive!!!! Some wank would probably end up puttin em on his busted ass crappadore anyways!!
