Was there any result on how the pen actually lasted, the thread seemed to end with someone saying they would post back with results, but never did. I dont know if the pen would work too well. The tyre compresses and gets hot and scrapes... Must be pretty good stuff. Cant see it working if it only costs $10.

Those pens are crap... i bought one once. It's just like a Posca pen (paint pen) but costs twice as much because it's called a "tyre lettering pen". You spend a few hours writing the letters on only to find that the first puddle or dirty road you drive on makes the white disappear. :x

Don't buy one.

bridgestone?? used to make a tyre called an 'Eger' or somthing, very popular on modified rotaries and the like, had white writing on the side, i had a set on an escort 215/50/13 dont know if they made a 175, but its moot now anyways because they stopped making them a couple of years back, the looked good though.....stuck like olive oil on a teflon pan tho

Yea, the white pen's suck, they don't last at all..Maybe a permanant white paint marker or something?

Even mask it up and paint it? gotta be something that will last longer..

ok, here`s a pic of some wheels that i have, the 2 end ones are 13x8" & fit under the flares that you have on your mini, but only on the front, the offset (or "inset") is way too much for the rear tho & will not bolt up as they hit the trailing arm , the shocky & the rear inner tub/guard....so they fit the front but not the rear, ok?

maybe you could buy a pair of these & a pair of 13X6 for the rear, if you were that way inclined

I reckon just cut out a stencil from a sheet of plastic or cardboard and spray paint the letters on. Instead of taking hours to do it each time the letters rub off or fade it'll take 5min to do each tyre.

is that what you guys did on the car in your site? http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/TheMiniMan/ stick 13x8's on the front and 13x6's on the back?

just to digress, is there a way to get 13's to fit without hacking away at the guards? would max'in out your hi-los do the job?

Hmmm... I know somebody that has a lonely pair of those 4-spoke Mawer rims...... Very nice wheels, but not enough offset for my liking
