I think i'll go the 13x7's on the front for a bit more traction and 13x6's on the back cos thats all that will fit. Do you really feel the difference between 7 and 8 when it comes to steering? I dont want to lose all the handling and mobility of the mini. What is the original width of wheel that was used?

You can fit 13x7's front and rear on a mini...

How much power are you going to have? 13x7's are more a look thing than they are traction and you WILL lose 'handling and mobility' running them.

Stock rims are only 3.5" ..so you are doubling the width of what it was originally design for.

And don't forget having all that extra traction will put more strain on diff and gearbox components if you try and drag at the lights . WHere you spun the wheels before to release the pressure/power it's now going to be held by the componentry till something spits the dummy , possibly diff .

some tyres that have the white writing on them...... (probably not the sizes that you are looking at)

I found them when looking at whitewall tyres.....

I've got about 200 horses at the wheels and i was really worried about traction. Now everyones really got me worried about my gearbox. Its a later model gearbox which apparently arent as strong. If the original wheels were on 3.5 i suppose thats where a fair bit of the original handling comes from, along with the low to the ground short wheelbase side of things. Ahhh, i want the best of both worlds. I think i'm leaning towards 6 now. I make too many rash decisions

OMG Those BF Goodrich tyres are exactly what i'm after. And they come in 13's. I'm getting excited just thinking about it. Thanks for that manofaus.

This isn't from a mini motor then? :? I though 150 horsies was good at the crank for a mini motor.

If you really have that much going through a mini gearbox I'd think about protecting the gearbox before much else

 I didn't even check - i saw that 13 and i was so happy inside. Now i'm sad again.

Yeah i've got a turbo GTi engine thats had a fair bit of work done to it waiting to go in. Its still a bit of a way off but it doesn't hurt to be plan for these sort of things i suppose.

I'll keep ringing about. Hopefully i can find what i'm looking for. If i do i'll post it up.
