Has anyone had a front and rear screen installed by Novus or Obrien? What does it cost?
Is it cheaper to buy the seal from minispares or minisport first (for about $60 first (with chrome locking strip))?

Is there anyone in brisbane that has had this done .... or can do this? what would you charge?

Cheers Gerard

Seals are about $40 - $45 if you shop around (Heritage MG Sydney)

Quite easy to install yourself Gerard. I did mine as a first timer and it was piss easy. 'How-to' on my website.

I would say there are cowboys out there who wouldn't, but I would always use one. I got mine from Repco for $20.

If you plan on doing more than one screen, buy the tool.

I had a front screen rubber replaced professionally 3 months ago. It was about $50 for the rubber and the locking strip (from Karcraft) and O'Briens charged $45. They made quite a lot of noise about how fragile laminated screens are when they disturbed such as the seal being replaced. But they managed it without cracking it.

I didn't have the time to replace it myself and the windscreen literally started to enter the cabin at speed and in the rain. Straight to O'brien's and left it there under cover until all the bits came. They did not have a parts bin for the mini seal.

$150 seems to be the norm for fitment only of both front and rear screens, all the quotes I got to do mine were around this figure.

I'd recommend Protector Windscreens if your going to use anyone in Brisbane, can't say too many positive things about the other ones you mentioned.

Ring for a price on installation, protector have front screens on their system if your chasing a new one, if you need new screen rubbers try The Rubber Shop in Southpine rd Enoggera as their prices i've found are the most competitive and their service great
