I named mine "Pricey" reason being, when I started buying parts the $$$$ spent started getting higher and higher (hence the name Pricey) but definately worth it :D

But it also gets called some rather Derogatory names when it breaks down especially while I'm out. F*#ing heap of 5*!t.

Elmo was elmo cos he was red and a friend of mine named him
Chezel was a name that Gaf gave my green van as it is how he pronounced myusername
Vivian was named after Vivian lee due to her Scarlet ohara paint work
Lizzie was just lizzie. just cos she is a lizzie
Leila was named by a good friend of mine who after all 7 of my other minis had
been BEGGING me to call one of my Leyland Minis Leila (or Leyla).

I have had other minis with no names. but they are not even worth rmembering.

To answer your question your mini HAS to have a name or it will be trouble for the
rest of your life! :D

here we go, heres the story behind the original armageddon...

Quote:
Armageddon was a van of the econoline e150 nomenclature. full of a band that was tougher than a 90mph mack truck. Unfortunately that van was not as tough as the band that captained it. on April 23rd, 2001, the band, the van and the truck met. The band walked away. Randy the truck driver lived to do alot more crank, but Armageddon was f****d

I like the naming of mini's, it gives them more charcter,
i will name mine after a girl, not sure what yet.

normally, my luck in mini's meant it always had a differnent name, so i think ti was quite confused, normally like:

You ffin piece of S*%t
You Box of Crap
NOt again you stoopid POS
For F's Sake you stupid cow

And I hate you, you'r no child of mine.

I think i might name my next one, and be nice to her =)

It doesn't matter if you name them or not, or if you are nice to them or not. They are still an uappreciative pain in the arse that seem to delight in giving you frustrating and expensive problems to fix. But like a naughty child, you still gotta love 'em. :)

I named "cheese" quite by accident. See,my other car is a big, heavy, thirsty Jag,and her and the mini are literally like 'Chalk and Cheese'.
Jag- White- "Chalk"
Mini- Yellow- "Cheese"

Pretty bloody apt,I think. :D

I think that clubbies should be boys and round-noses should be girls.
I also think that when you name a car, try not to give it a naff name like "tweety" if its yellow, for example. Anything clever is good.
I want a personalised number plate for my mini, and that's what i'd refer to it as (green with checkered roof), i want something along the lines of checkers, check mate, king me etc (allthough these are probably gone, i want something along those lines). Any suggestions would be welcome...

Oh, and mine is an original mini. I hear there is a new, checkered mini out. IM NOT COPYING, MINE WAS CHECKED BEFORE YOURS WAS EVEN MADE

I'm with the rest of the people who yell profanity and call it names when it breaks down or starts makeing funny wurring noises, or popping tyre beads, or headlights flickering, or throttle sticking, or... you get the idea.

All my cars are girls, except for my datto 1600, it reminds me of a grumpy old man sutting in a lounge chair with the tv up full... rude, abnoxious... (abnowhat?). God I hate that car
