He may not have lost his licence on the spot but I'm pretty sure for doing that sort of speed in a residential area , plus the fact it's more than 45 k's over the limit there will be a letter coming in the mail telling him to return the licence for 6 to 12 months , or argue it in court ...... Not worth it and very few ligitimate excuses for that speed in a built up area , enough people getting killed doing it without you adding to it ....

I wonder if that changes as well with the double demerits etc we have in NSW at the moment for the holidays . I got done in the middle of nowhere a few years ago 20 k's over the limit with double points , the fine wasn't doubled but the double points were a bit nerve wracking for a while , didn't have many to spare ..... I'm not wanting to sound like "people in glass houses" , I got down to only a few points left on the licence entirely from speeding but they were all in remote areas , definitely not in towns , where the only other vehicle I'd seen for 20 minutes was the copper hiding behind the tree's or the one that overtook me going faster and then came back .....

Have to keep an eye on the papers to see if you made the normal shame list the police put out over easter , you know the "P plater caught 80 klm over the limit on the F3 "type thing .... By the way , I'm not trying to make a joke out of it here , what you did and where you did it was bloody stupid but as you said you can see that now and hopefully it'll be a good thing in the end for the learning experience of it , just a hard way to learn really .

6 month 1550 fine, apprently, of course I wont be contesting it..... court is only neccessary when contesting the fine and loss of licence. I should however have been locked up and thrown away the key.

you should by a PSP for on the bus they are great and you can play games where you can drive fast or watch movies

Hope it all pans out.

Oh for goodness sake
It would be easier and faster to take him and whip him to death or simply shoot him.

Give him credit for telling everyone he made a mistake and now let it drop. Awful lot of glass house windows being continiously broken here.

I didn't say go easy, I said he has had a flogging then I said now let it drop.

He admitted a mistake and told everyone. I am amazed how many people can boast about the power outputs and the speed of their STREET minis and then castigate continiously this kid.

No one has said that its all right to double the speed of a stated speed limit and I don't either. I am saying that we either shoot him, hang him, stone him or just simply (the preferable option) let it drop. I am tired of the noise of broken glass.
