Hi everybody! This is my first time writing on the site but i have looked at a few articles before. Could anybody help me to identify the mini i have? It is a 1977 clubman sedan. The chassis number makes it look like a 998cc mini using the list posted on this site but the engine is a 1275. I know it could of had a engine swap but it has a factory tacho-it looks like it it a factory setup dash. It also has small fibreglass flares, front disk brakes and dual tanks. What the hell car have i got? any help would be appreciated.

best bet would be to contact anton ( JAM_IT ) for info on GT's, as he's the resident expert. Czerial would also be a great help, he just knows clubbys in general.

GT was only built from Sept 1971 to late 1972. If yours really IS a 1977, then forget it being a real GT.

Sounds like a mock up GT, with some of the right bits.

Sounds like a Mini S with a 1275. (1977 Mini S had tacho and flares with a 998)
What is the first bit of the vin number (something like 022 D2S1 MO9)
What is the first bit of the engine number (something like 12Yd/Ta/H or 12H) If you can post the numbers I can de-code them.

Hi Michael , how long has the rebuild been going , always helps to have a bit of encouragment with your rebuild when it slows down a bit , any pic's of it before you started and what are you planning for the rebuild ? Ask whatever questions you may have and somebody is bound to help .

It's an ex sydney county council car. I'm keen on an engine conversion, but do not want to spoil this mini. I have already put out the feelers for info on the county council heritage, hope to get heaps of info. I'll try and get a few pics on soon.

Could it be an Electricity Commission vehicle :?: (there were hundreds around) they were green close to Sports 850s bonnet above....

It could very well be! It's green. Thanks for the info I'll check it out. It's possible county council/electricity commission same cars.

Hi, I have posted quite a bit but never actually on a welcome thingy

I have two roundnoses, I used to have clubbie
the roundnodes I have a MK1 Van and a MK2 Pick-up
ute's going custom, van's getting restored to it's former glory

I really think it's great where us weird mini likers get to hang out and talk mini stuff like taking the skin off our knuckles everytime we change our points and plugs

I all up have spent about 8 years working on mini's and look forward to sharing my experiences
