Hi,

Just looking ahead to when the mini has the motor back in and set up by me. I obviously need a professional tune sometime, as it has LOTS of non standard bits.

So

Where is a good mini friendly dyno place in SE QLD?

SU experience (twins) preferred.

That is a VERY good question. I wish I knew so I could get my SU set up properly. I live near Mercury Motorsport who have a new Dyno Dynamics dynamometer (in Newmarket) but they specialise in ricers and probaly have never seen an SU in their lives.
I'm told that there is a dyno in Sumner Park that Glen Carpenter takes his customer cars to, so they should be good with SUs.

Someones gotta know.... please

try someone that works on old Volvo's or Jag's, the old ones use SU's and the Jag's use lucas, so someone that does those cars will be able to do a mini with out any issues. All he same principle.

Cheers
Aaron

Wait for Matty Read to log on. He'll point you in the right (or a) direction. I would take a stab in the dark and say he uses the Bob Romano dyno on Lytton Rd, Morningside.

I do all my own "tune" work,,,but i have also ran some minis up on many dynos here in Brisbane , in fact i did a 5 dyno comparison a few years back, found Romano`s to be the tightest (IE: Lowest figure) & as he`s just down the road it makes it easy & quick for my customers to have a comparison (before & after tune) I don`t get anyone to tune them for me as the dynos that have tried have not gained anything in doing so & ended up putting it all back where i had it.

:-)

easy-peasy

:-)

don`t ya just love that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ???????????????????

:-)
